OPTION FOR ACP/MACP ?
BY change of ACP scheme to MACP in VI CPC, some of the employees have lost their chances in getting next higher scale. The ACP scheme was considered up to September 2008 as cut of date. Even then some employees were put to financial loss in one month from the cut of date. The issue was put before anomaly committee. It is heard that in such cases, option is to be exercised between ACP and MACP. A proposal is under active consideration and if at all it is approved by the Finance Ministry, some of the employees will get the benefit of ACP.
REPRESENTIONS BY LDCs & UDCs FOR UPGRADATION
It is learned that JCM is goint meet on 5th of this month to discuss the anomalies of VI CPC. As far as LDCs and UDCs are concerned, there is a request from all Central Government Employees to upgade the cadre of LDCs ,UDCs and Assistants since all of the employees are graduates. V CPC and VI CPC have not given any importance to this entry cadre of Administrative staff and more over equated with Group D cadre. And they are the employees who are dealing with all responsible work right from service matters to all other issues including RTI information. The burden of LDCs and UDCs has increased in all departments since there is no recruitment. Representations were sent to Finance Ministry from all individuals to consider the upgradation. It is learned that most of the LDCs and UDCs working in Central Government have sent their representations to fianance ministry through proper channel. We have received the news a little bit late. If we can also react on this matter it would be nice. The representation consisting of eight pages is placed in www.airtvadmin.ning.com. This is for information of members.
UNIT MEETING HELD AT DDK, HYDERABAD
The Unit meeting of ADASA, DDK, Hyderabad was held on 27.01.10. Various points pertaining to the cadre were discussed. Members have expressed their anger and anguish about the inaction on the part of National Council when all other associations are actively perusing the VI CPC related issues of their members. Majority members have felt that the problems of LDCs and UDCs have not been redressed despite the fact that they are the back bone of the Association. The letter of National Council to Prasar Bharati about the disparity in VI CPC to HC/AO/IA added fuel to the fire as nothing was there about LDCs and UDCs. Members have felt that MACP which has come in the place of ACP is a great loss to LDCs and UDCs and the conditions prevailing in ACP are to be restored. It has been decided to depute two representatives to appraise the feelings of members in National Council Meeting being held at Pune on 17th and 18th of February.
